As an Amateur Thesp, Myself, I Give Obama a Big 'F'!

By Davidduff

Cheating by quoting, I know, but we are in the process of taking delivery of new bedroom furniture and the house is a shambles, and the 'Memsahib' insists on getting up and stumping round the house with her 'clog' on her foot, supervising things - or getting in the bloody way, you choose! - I am short of time.

So, as we watch the current G20 fiasco in St. Petersburg, as the 'Leader of the Free World' - now look here, there will be no giggling or else! - stumblebums his way around that gang of recidivist reprobates getting a sharp elbow here, his toes trodden on there, and turning round suddenly keeps finding people sniggering behind his back, all we can do is shudder and pray.  Cameron ponces about on the fringe looking like an uninvited - and unwanted guest - and le petit Presidente Hollande tries to keep the smirk of his face, and everyone waits expectently for 'Vlad the Impaler' to strip to the waist and flex his pecs - again!  I just hope that the hawks in the White House do not throw a hissy-fit and rush into full scale war.  Anyway, to save my time, here is a quote from R. Emmett Tyrrell at The American Spectator which sums it all up much better than I can:

What we have just seen is the work of an utter amateur trying to be the
president of the United States. Barack Obama ran for the presidency promising to
be the perfect multilateralist president. No longer would America go it alone.
He would form a worldwide coalition before taking military action. As a
candidate he blabbered on about colonialism as though the Western world were
thirsting for African and South American colonies. He denounced intervention in
foreign countries, especially American intervention. Now he is advocating what
amounts to unilateralism and intervening in foreign lands with no particular
purpose. He wants to hurt President Assad not much more. He is a hypocrite but
on behalf of what I cannot say.

Barack Obama operates from no grand strategy. What he will do next no one can
say. He is a total amateur and he is going to be president for almost forty more
months. At least we can count on many more great moments of presidential comedy.

Honestly, you couldn't make it up, although Monty Python probably could!
