Nothing makes my heart go “pitter patter” than seeing a sign for a bookstore in little Indiana. Hello, Arlston’s Booksellers!
Surpassed my expectations? You betcha! This is a relatively new business in downtown Corydon, Indiana. But, wow–talk about a nice assortment of new and used books!
Wall to Wall Books
There’s the usual stuff: Romance, Classics, History, and even children’s books, but they take it a step further. Want a signed edition by a local author? They might have it!
They’ve also got a decent selection of Indiana history. I could have easily taken home a book or two (or five or six). We let Kid #1 pick something out for the road. He had a hard time in the choosing!
New Beginnings

As we say “so long” to big box bookstores, I want to point out that it most definitely is not the end of the world. You have an option–beyond the internet. Use it!
Even in small Indiana towns, you really can still find mom and pop bookstores (both used and new).
As the big box booksellers go under? I can’t help but give a small cheer for the little guy who has been hanging in there and may be able to capture a slice of that pie.
Arlston’s Booksellers is a phenomenal bookshop. If you love books (and how could you not?) you have got to stop in and browse! They’ve got the space–I can’t wait to see what they do with it all!
