One of several law enforcement helicopters on display during the 2009 Vertical Challenge helicopter airshow put on by the Hiller Aviation Museum. This EC-120 serves with the Air Support Unit (ASU) of the San Jose Police Department. The EC-120 incorporates several of Eurocopter’s (now Airbus Helicopter) trademarked technologies, such as the 3-bladed Speriflex main rotor head and the 8-bladed fenestron tail rotor which contribute to a reduced noise signature. The 30M candlepower Nightsun searchlight has a one mile range. The EC120 was jointly designed, and first flown in 1995, by Eurocopter working with Chinese and Singaporean partners.
