Captured some parallel traffic at SFO as a United A320 leads an Alaska 737 on final approach.  First flown in 1984, the Airbus A320 family pioneered the use of digital fly-by-wire flight control systems, as well as side-stick controls, in commercial aircraft.  This A320 is one of 99 in the United fleet.  Alaska operates 12 of these Next-Gen 737 models in their fleet. First flown in 2006, more than 400 of these extended range Next Generation 737-900’s have been built. Nikon D500 w/Tamron 150-600mm.
