Adult Viewing Habits of Republicans Vs Democrats

Posted on the 21 April 2014 by Geekasms @geekasms

Are you inundated with political ads yet?  Well either way, here is a new perspective on all things Republican and Democrat.  BuzzFeed teamed up with Pornhub to take a look at who watches the most porn, republicans or democrats.

BuzzFeed teamed up with Pornhub to take a look at who watches the most porn, red states or blue states.

Based on the 2012 election, Pornhub’s data team split the country into red and blue states  They then took the total number of pages viewed per state and divided that by the population, ending up with page views per capita. And democrats came out on top, watching 13% more porn on average.  Guess we know who has been buying those vibrators controlled by smartphones.

Pornhub's data team split the country into red and blue states—based on the 2012 election—and then took the total number of pages viewed per state and divided that by the population.

Although, the red state of Kansas, leads the country in porn consumption, but overall, red states on average are consuming less pornography.

The red state of Kansas, interestingly enough, leads the country in porn consumption, but red states on average are consuming less pornography.

Out of the 10 states that proved to have the most pageviews per capita, only two of those are red states, and on the other side of the coin, out of the 10 states with the least porn viewed only 2 are blue states, no word on where that 20% of people who could imagine life without sex fall in, but I’m thinking red states!

Of the 10 states with the most pageviews per capita, only two of those are red states. On the flip side, only two of the 10 states with the least porn viewed are blue states.

On top of calling out democrats and republicans on what they’re watching in their spare time, Pornhub’s data team took the extra step, and discovered that if you used their data as a predictor of how states voted, they could have called the 2012 election with 70% accuracy.  That’s not a set of polling data you’re going to hear on Rush Limbaugh!

Perhaps weirdest of all, Pornhub's data team discovered that if you used their data as a predictor of how states voted…

They could have called the 2012 election with 70% accuracy. Which is impressive, considering what we're talking about.

Then again, if Rush won’t, maybe someone should call onto Pornhub for data insights, because using all their data, they also could have correctly predicted the votes of nine out of the 12 swing states.  Way to stay consistent porn watching Americans!

And who said people don’t get out of the house and vote?
