Story: The Mountain Lodge starts as we follow Mateusz (Chyra) take his two teenage sons Janek (Bielenia) and Tomek (Henriksen) to a remote mountain cabin for some bonding time. When the family see a stranger Konrad (Dorocinski) in the woods, they bring him into the cabin for shelter.
When Konrad comes around, the teenagers are torn between keeping him held captive or helping, only to learn his true nature, putting them in a battle to survive.
Thoughts on The Mountain Lodge
Thoughts – The Mountain Lodge is an isolation based horror thriller that will see two teenagers need to learn to deal with human threats in life, while in a snow covered mountain cabin, when they try to do the right thing. The tension is built up nicely in this film, as we see how the two innocent like teenagers must deal with a man that knows how to talk his way out of trouble, as we wait to see what he is capable off. The location does help add to the tension we are gong through, as we are waiting for everything to be unleashed and once it is, we are on the edge of our seats throughout. the performances in the film are strong with Marcin Dorocinski being terrifying as the stranger.
Final Thoughts – The Mountain Lodge is a tense horror thriller that unleashes everything in a relentless final act.
