Thoughts on The Last Boy Scout

ThoughtsThe Last Boy Scout is one the popular big budget action films that continued to ride the success that Bruce Willis has found in the genre. The story will see him as a private detective who tends to bend the rules to get the job done, working with an American football star who both find themselves caught up in the middle of a bigger conspiracy that could change the sport forever. While the story might not get too deep, it will give us everything we need for the odd couple needing to work together, getting a few laughs, without needing to turn relying on the jokes, letting the way over the top action take center stage. In the 1990’s we had big action that was full of explosions, this is one of those films that didn’t care how big the explosions are. This was in Bruce Willis’s prime, so it is one of his better performances, where he bounces of Damon Wayans wonderfully throughout the film. For a big action packed movie, this is a lot of fun, it knows just how big it wants to be and will play into it in every scene.

Final Thoughts The Last Boy Scout is a classic 90s action film filled with over-the-top action throughout.
