A Twist In The Tale Of Contemporary Fashion

By Wildchildmedia @wildchildmedia

Cross Culture Fashion is a young contemporary fashion brand based in Leeds, UK. They take inspiration from rich aspects of various cultures to design clothes that are perfect for urban lifestyle. They have launched a fund raising campaign on Indiegogo to support the manufacturing of their new collection. The contributors will get a chance to pre-order their new range at exclusive prices and also get special discounts from their partners.

Cross Culture Fashion’s designs have plenty of cultural influences. They collaborate with exciting designers from different parts of the world such as Japan, Philippines, UK, Latvia, India and many more. The diversity of designers and the enormity of cultural inspirations offer something fresh and exciting to their fun loving audience.

“Cross Culture Fashion was born out of an experiment to introduce colourful and vibrant African fabrics into the mainstream garments”, says Chibz, the founding partner of the brand, who conceived the idea. “We tried the rich African fabric called ‘Ankara’ on the lining of a hoodie, the richness of colours and prints gave a contemporary look to a normal hoodie. We topped it up with Japanese Pop-art designed by Yamamoto Shigetomo from Japan, whose design has been used by the likes of fashion icons such as Anna Sui. This signature product of our brand called ‘Monster Girl Hoodie’ has received wide accolades for its unique print and design features”.

They launched the brand with their t-shirt range which has an amalgamation of African prints and contemporary artworks. After the success of their t-shirt range, now they have moved on to design the full range of clothes for men and women. Their new range includes dresses, jumpsuits, jackets, tops and skirts for girls. It also includes jackets, polos, shirts, jeans and sweatshirts for guys. They recently showcased the new range at Leeds Fashion Show and received amazing feedback.

Now they are seeking funding to support the manufacturing of their new collection. They have taken an interesting route by launching a crowd funding campaign on Indiegogo in which funders will get amazing perks in return for their contribution. The contribution can be made for any amount between $5 to $2500 and the perks can be claimed that include “Buy 1 Get 1 Free” t-shirts, the original “Monster girl hoodie” at an exclusive price, a new t-shirt every month for one full year or various gift vouchers at an incredibly low price. Even a small contribution will fetch a basket full of gifts. The Monster Girl hoodie at $75 (£46) is the best gift you could buy for yourself or your friends and it comes along with 2 free t-shirts. The hoodie is available for both guys and girls.
