During the romantic month of May let us walk into the sensory world of perfumes with the master of perfumes – Gérald Ghislain. In recorded history it is understood that the French have been using perfumes since the early times of King Louis XIV of France. Since then, the association between perfume and France have been deeply rooted in both their culture and lifestyle.
For the second year, Hong Kong’s first artistic perfume boutique will be collaborating once again with Le French May in promoting their theme of “Celebrating art and life the French way” through a series of unique workshops by Benny Tung* throughout the month of May. In addition, for a special event Parfumerie Trésor has also invited a master of perfume – Gérald Ghislain to join us in Hong Kong for two days (18th – 19th May) to share with us his inspirations and stories in creating his perfumes.

During the course of the month, indivdiuals joining our special workshops will not only be able to experience first hand Hong Kong and even Asia exclusive artistic perfume brands but also learn more about the stories and art of perfumery. We hope that everyone can join us on this journey to discover and explore the French way of life through perfumes.
About Gérald Ghislain
When was the last time you laughed hysterically without any inhibitions? Was it this morning? In actual fact I did just that this morning. Then what about crying? I cannot deny that I cry as passionately and as much as I laugh. Also, what is your perfect day? I would say it is tomorrow. From these questions and answers, you can perhaps already guess the type of personality Gérald Ghislain is.
Gérald Ghislain was born in the South of France and brought up in Morocco. He grew up surrounded by Mediterranean scents, and refined his palette and nose with gastronomy. Learning the art of putting together and distilling savers. Gérald Ghislain wrote his own story with the frantic rhythm of a passionate jack of all trades. An epicurean, he tastes all of life’s savors, sprinkling his daily life with refined luxury. He gives his all to his projects.

Insatiable wonderer, he listens, reads and discovers, drawing inspiration from his trips and encounters. Gérald is impulsive and fully committed to his projects. Perfumery is an old dream of his. Following a solid training at ISIPCA, Gérald founded Histoires de Parfums in 2000 and created a collection of rare and delicate perfumes. These perfumes like him are rich in temperament. As with perfumery and cuisine, the key words of this creator are passion, know-how, exception and creativity. An eminently luxurious craftsman’s grammar,
creating aromatic phrases of sharply accurate vocabulary, which enhances the noblest of raw materials.
