A Pastor Is Defending His Dance Ministry’s Decision To Use Explicit Jay-Z Song

A California pastor is defending his dance ministry’s decision to dance to Jay-Z’s explicit version of  ‘The Story of O.’

Last week a video of Tree of Life M.B. Church in Los Angeles, California  dance ministry received some backlash, when it was revealed that they were dancing to the explicit version of Jay’Z’s The Story of O.J.

Social media didn’t have nice things to say about the video, especially since the song has curse words in it.

Here’s the video in case you didn’t see it:

The church’s pastor,  Rev. Marcus Murchinson sees nothing wrong with his dance ministries choice of music, revealing that he sometimes uses explicit words when he prays.

“The truth is sometimes when I’m praying, my prayers are not ‘guide me o thy great Jehovah, pilgrim through this barren land.’ I’m not quoting from the 23rd Psalm. I’m not quoting from Philippians. Sometimes my prayers have explicit language in them. God I am bleep, bleep, bleep upset. And because of that, I learned that God can handle that,” Murchinson explained in an interview Monday.
