A Cheese Barge is Coming | Eat and Drink

He's made a cheese truck, a cheese bar, and a cheese conveyor belt restaurant, and now Mathew Carver is taking the water to open The Cheese Barge. AHOY. The double-decker boat will be permanently moored in the Grand Union Canal and will serve up a hell of a load of cheese.

The menu will include Windrush goat curd with lamb scribbles and pickled walnuts; Cropwell Bishop Stilton devils on horseback; Curried Quicke Cheddar Curd; Maida Vale Washed Rind Cheese with Molasses Soda Bread and Smoked Mackerel; aligot made with Mrs. Kirkham's Lancashire; half a kilo of Baron Bigod cooked to order; and Yorkshire Curd Pie with Creamy Malted Milk Chocolate.

The Cheese Barge will also serve a range of cold cuts, including a cheese sausage, and a weekly list of seasonal cheese pairings, like Winslade with chili dukkah and St Andrews Cheddar with green kimchi. Sweet cheese that sounds great.
