5 Tried-n-Loved Treats to Romance Your Woman With

By Sillymummy @silly_mummy

I’m not a lady type of woman but that doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate some romance. Life is busy on my side of the spectrum and both my husband and I work almost full-time hours. So sometimes we feel like romance could one day escape us if we don’t keep things interesting.

If, like us, you’re feeling like you’re dropping the romance ball and been running out of ideas of how to show some lovings to your other half, I’ve got five ideas today of things to throw in the mix to treat your woman with. These five ideas are four simple items to use plus one meal idea for even when it’s not their birthday or Valentine’s Day. Go on, pull that bank/credit card out and gain some points from your woman!

Bamboodle (Bamboo Candle)

These lovely soy wax candles are set in natural bamboo for containers and their wicks are made from pure cotton. Create a romantic atmosphere for those weekend evenings when you’ve both spared some time away from your busy worlds to spend hours chitty-chatting with her about sweet nothings. The candles release a dreamy, milky scent to match the relaxed mood! Once she’s used the candle, the container can be reused to refill with candle or something else as thick.

Available at $16.00 here.

Create a Feast for Two with Copperpot Dips, Meats, Cheeses, Olives and Crackers

There’s something about meat, cheese and cracker platters that I just love. I think it brings people closer around the table or fire and it creates a cosy, intimate atmosphere. In my home on some weekend nights I get out some bits and pieces out and throw them around a place and plonk a dip in the middle. Copperpot Doubles have become a favorite. I also like to keep a packet of Kraft Cheddar Cheese on standby in my pantry for when someone pops in unannounced. So usually that’s the cheese I would throw onto my platter for my romantic night. If I plan ahead then I would go all out without really looking at pricing!

Available from $3.82 from here.

A Quick-and-Easy Meal Idea

If your woman tends to be the one always making the meals, give her a break once in a while and make a quick meal for the two of you. It doesn’t need to be complicating and as you can see in this photo, all I put together are salads, a homemade mini no-flour quiche, an egg and pastry tart, and a piece of grilled chicken. This plate took me less than 30 minutes to put together, from cooking to plating. All I did was blend an omelet mixture of whatever I know we both like, including cheese, poured the mixture into a pastry-lined pan. I used the Pampas Shortcrust Pastry Sheets. I then baked them in the oven until brown! No flour needed.  The small quiches were just leftover omelet mixture poured and baked in silicone cupcake cups. Easy!

All ingredients are available from your local supermarket and would cost under $25.

Piper-Heidsieck Cuvée Brut Champagne

This has got to be in my top 5 favorite Champagnes! It’s tasty, clear and light, with a beautiful aroma and a dash of citrus. It’s also very original French and I’ve been informed that Marilyn Monroe apparently used to drink a glass every morning. If you like to mix it to recreate your own flavours then go for it! I would have it with the platter shown above or with dinner!

Available from $60.00 here.

Bored of the Usual Hot Drinks? Try Nescafé White Choc and Cappuccino!

nescafe menu white choc

Instant coffees and hot chocolates of rare flavours are nice treats when you’re out of ideas or when you’re wanting something different. In my pantry I have a box of each of these Nescafe Café Menu drinks for those nights when I’m not in the mood for a coffee.  If you’re a little shy to show that you poured this from a sachet, sit your woman in another room and quickly stir this into a cup of hot water or hot milk while she’s not looking. It’s all in the cup! Available in various flavours, my favourites being the Cappuccino and White Choc Mocha.

Prices start from $3.15 per box on special. See here.

Disclaimer: I shop at Woolies, so that’s why I point you to their site. Bamboodle candles were provided for feature. No money exchanged. I get to keep the candle!
