Things to do at The Cranleigh Hotel, Kensington and Chelsea

Yesterday I spent a night at The Cranleigh Hotel in Bina Gardens, Kensington and Chelsea. The Cranleigh Hotel is Boutique in style and situated in a very attractive and wealthy area of London – about ten minutes walk from Gloucester Road Tube Station.

Here are 5 things to do in and around The Cranleigh Hotel.

Enjoy a full English breakfast in the morning. Choose whether to have it in your room or in the lobby near the reception. There is actually no dedicated break fast room which is unusual but no big draw back . It is very pleasant in the lobby room with morning sun shining in.

Excellent Room Service

Have tea and coffee brought to the room by simply picking up the phone in your room and asking for it. Coffee is served in a café tier, which is a nice touch.

Complementary Champagne

Between 7 and 8 every evening there is complementary champagne served in the lobby with some nibbles. We had mozzarella and tomato bruschetta bites!

Take in a museum or have walk in a Royal park

Have a walk around the nearby area. Within ten minutes of walking you will find attractions (mainly museums) such as The Science Museum and The Natural History Museum. A few minutes away from the hotel you will find nice places to eat, everything from steak houses to American Diners. If you turn left outside the hotel your will find a high-end cocktail bar on the corner of the street.

Relax in the Lobby over Newspapers

Spend time relaxing in the lobby of the hotel. This is a very comfortable area with complementary biscuits and juice. If you want to spend more then there is a large selection of gins, whiskeys and brandies on offer. There are also newspapers available to read and luxury brand magazines to peruse whilst you are sipping on your drink.

The Cranleigh Boutique Hotel is perfect if you don’t want to stay in the hustle and bustle of central London. If you stay at the Cranleigh you will avoid the feeling that you are in a big chain hotel and have something much more personal.

Hyde park is very close with plenty of hire bike stations around. There plenty of buses and you a stones throw from a major tube station so The Cranleigh Hotel is very connected. If you want hustle then you can easily find it feeling comforted that you are going home to bed somewhere quiet and comfortable.
