1. What’s the best piece of relationship advice you’ve ever been given?
SM: It has taken me years to realize this, but it’s far better if you tell the truth right at the beginning. Don’t try to say what you think someone wants to hear. My missus shoots from the hip. The cleaner and simpler it is, the better.

2. Finish this sentence: I could never be with a woman who…
SM: Didn’t like boxing! Our trainer jokes about putting Anna into a fight, but he knows full well if he goes too far with the jokes she’ll just take him up on it. I’m a big fan of boxing, and she loves it too.

3. What’s your most alpha quality?
SM: Protecting the herd, probably. I’m not a very violent dude, and it something can be settled without any physicality, I’m always in favor of that. But if somebody comes near my kids, the atavistic crazy lion comes out.

4. Your girliest quality?
SM: I love – oh God, I shouldn’t say this – I’m really good at bringing orchids back from the dead. We had, let’s see, one, two, three.. there were 10 dead orchids in the kitchen, and now they’re all flowering at the same time. I’m quite proud of that.

5. How do you know when you’re really into a woman?
SM: When I should be learning my lines at work and can’t think of anything else but her. That’s a clue.
