Eating well is a fundamental component of your mental, emotional and physical health. There’s no doubt about it, you want to give your family the best. Even though you know that it’s the single most important thing you can do to keep your family in tip-top shape, eating well (read: eating Paleo) can make it hard.

There’s no “running through the McDonald’s drive-thru” for you.

Every single meal has to be pre-planned and your ingredients meticulously selected.  Does that mean you’re doomed to spend hours at the grocery store, reading food labels until your eyes hurt? Will you be forever resigned to paying top dollar for the ingredients your family deserve?

Rather than toss out produce, they rather sell it at a cheaper price.  If you commit to buy on a weekly basis, you can get the best produce at the cheapest price, in bulk.

Believe it or not, online food shopping is not that extravagant.  All things purchased in bulk are usually a very good price, some even offering free shipping on recurrent ordering.  Take, for example, a service like Thrive Market, which has a nice assortment of Paleo and other healthy products for a discount. You can get what you need delivered right to your door; talk about saving time and money!

  1. Become a “prepper”

Once you get your cheaper bulk items, prepare meals and snacks ahead of time. Divide the snack packs by family member so that there is no chance to waste food, or let it go to waste.  Many people vacuum seal meats purchased in larger amounts and keep them in the freezer. Others like to split big boxes of crackers, potato chips or candy and save them in containers to preserve their freshness.
