The vagina is the most intimate part of the female body. When a problem occurs at its level, women generally fail to talk about it and prefer to ignore what is going on instead of asking the opinion of a relative or even a professional. Now, this very fragile part must be treated with great care and its problems should be considered a priority in order to avoid possible complications. To help you learn more about your vagina, here are 11 things you probably did not say before!

The vagina is one of parts of the female genital tract, which is in the form of tube, measuring, generally, 7 to 8 cm long and 3 cm wide. It is a flexible muscle surrounded by a wall very extensible, allowing it to expand to allow penetration and delivery.

Now this part of the body is often a source of embarrassment and complex women. According to a British study conducted on women aged between 18 and 24 years, 66% of them are embarrassed to talk about their vagina or other gynecological problem, and 48% of them are afraid to undergo an examination in their gynecologist.

To better accept, discover these truths we will never reveal your vagina.

11 things you do not know your vagina:
1 – Varying forms
The vulva is the external visible part of the female reproductive system and surrounds the vagina. Like any other body part, its shape and size vary from one woman to another. Fine, chubby, curvy or another, all forms are beautiful. You just have to accept and learn to love what nature gave you.

2 – Urinating is for men!
We all know that men use their penis to urinate. For cons, the women, they are not using their vagina to do. The opening of the urethra is between the clitoris and the vaginal opening, and it is from here that your bladder evacuates its contents.

3 – Have clots is quite normal
The rules are bleeding that occurs at the beginning of the female menstrual cycle and are caused by the non-fertilization of the ovum. They are due to shedding of the endometrium, a thickened uterine lining and highly vascularized responsible for the preparation of implantation. The evacuation of blood clots is usually a Benin phenomenon, due to the detachment of the endometrium a few hours before uterine contractions arrive to evacuate.

4 – A vagina, it can fall!
What you probably do not know is that your vagina can “fall”. Indeed, the pelvic organ prolapse is a descent of one or more pelvic organs downward, exerting pressure on the vaginal wall which may come out beyond the vulva. Fortunately, this can be corrected by a perineal rehabilitation or surgery.

5 – The vaginal discharge? Nothing more normal!
Vaginal discharge when they are odorless and are not accompanied by itching or burning sensation are entirely normal and does not require consultation. Their amount depends on the menstrual cycle and nature of each woman.

6 – A muscle to preserve!
The vagina is a muscle able to contract and relax. Like any other muscle in the body, it loses its tone if it is not regularly solicited or may loosen due to trauma such as vaginal birth for example. If your vagina is not as tight as you like, reinforce it by doing vaginal exercises (Kegel, for example) or by spending a little more time to the sport of room!

7 – Beware the hymen!
The hymen is a thin membrane more or less elastic that tears at the first penetrative sex. However, elasticity and strength vary from one woman to another. Moreover, some women are born without a hymen, while others lose it because of a fall or biking or horseback riding.

8 – Shower or not shower?
Douching which are to bring water into your vagina are strongly discouraged. Not only are the dry, but also disrupt the balance of flora which promotes infection. To clean, use only water and mild soap occasionally to be applied externally. Your vagina is perfectly capable of cleaning itself.

9 – Lubrication
A dry vagina is usually a source of discomfort and pain during sex. Therefore, avoid excessive wash or take a shower just before making love to preserve its natural lubrication.

Among the main functions of the vagina is to accommodate a penis. But even when this becomes painful and uncomfortable with sufficient lubrication and several tests, it is advised to see a gynecologist can help you detect and treat the causes of pain and to better enjoy your lovemaking.
