10 Truths of Social Media Marketing (Don't Make These Mistakes)

Today I'm talking about 10 truths for social media marketing. Maybe this 10 mistake below is the reason why your business is not growing on social media. And you think maybe social media is not working anymore, well, my list will be very helpful for you to make some changes.

1. Never Fight With A Customer Online

If you're on social media don't jump in and have an argument with a customer, instead direct them off social media into another channel, so that you can deal with that situation. 

2. Only Publish 100% Quality Content

If you gonna be on social media, only publish 100% quality content, if you're just posting product without interaction, you just have a newsfeed from another website that doesn't really relate too much to what you are doing. Then you're wasting your time.

On social media take the time to create full fun content that your demographic gonna want to interact with, and that is gonna get share over and over again, so be really deliberate about your social media content that you're creating for each of your platforms.

3. Advertise For Full Exposure

What I mean by that is, run community ads, run ads to promote your post, and of course, there's a great way you can run social media ads so that you can run pay ads directly to the website and get sales.

But I'm talking about community build ads here, if you're only running $50 a month or noting, you not gonna have any growth.

Some company spends thousands of dollars a month to build up this huge social media community, and that's how they get the real revenue. So if you're not making any investment to grow your community, then you're not going to see the return that you're looking for on social media.

4. Befriend Influences

Use tools like buffer, cloak, to create a list of influences in your industry and interact with them over time. That's gonna allow you to eventually become an influence too and is gonna allow you to get more share of your content because they would start liking your stuff, sharing your stuff, and even the opportunity for you guys to interact with each other down the line.

5. Gift To Other Receive More

Make sure you're sharing others people content, you're following other people, commenting on their stuff. I can tell you how many people that just have a one-way voice for social media. They're only producing content and pushing things out, but there are not interacting with people. 

Make sure that you have that level of interaction, because if there is no real person behind the account, then you not gonna have success, and it's just gonna be a bunch of content coming out, and you'll not get anything out of it.

6. Social Media Sentiment Analysis

What I mean is, know your analysis, know them by doing social media sentiment analysis. within youtube, facebook, twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, they all have their own analysis back in.

And if you're not taking the time to go and review how you content performing there, how your community is growing, what your demographics look like, what your most successful time data post is, and you're not developing a strategy around that to better what you're doing, then you're leaving money on the table.

With social media, it's all about the detail of the strategy, so make sure that you're taking your time doing social media sentiment analysis, and if you do that, you're gonna be a lot more successful.

7. Social Media Is Always Changing

You need to be constantly study, constantly involving, looking at the latest trend, also get on a newest platform, and testing them out right away, to see if they gonna be effective for your business.

8. Be Consistent 

The more you get in front of somebody, they more they gonna like you and want to use you. So if you're consistent on social media, you publish ofter, you're getting in front of your demographics. That's eventually gonna attract them back to your business.

9. Own A Few Platform

This's not really important one, and so many people make this mistake. Just own a few platforms, don't try to own them all. If you try to have a presence on 10, 20 platform, is not just gonna work.

So try to pick 2 to 5, that you can really do well on and maximize those.

10. Create A Content Calendar

If you just trying to push up content day to day and the content that you're creating it doesn't relate specifically to the business that you're trying to actract, you not gonna have sucess.

So make the time to create a content calendar and make sure they're in line with your goal.
