There are many legends about Dubai. One of them says that you can't buy alcohol all over the city, and you have very severe consequences for drinking a glass of champagne. It is true that the United Arab Emirates is a Muslim country with slightly different rules than in Europe, and the local culture is very different from ours. However, Dubai has a large income from tourism and this alone results in a more forgiving treatment of visitors. If you are not a Muslim, you can drink alcohol in designated restaurants and places. There are also night clubs here. It's not good to get drunk on the streets. It is definitely better to avoid this.
Outfit
Islam as a religion, imposes quite strict dress regulations that apply in countries under its influence. It is no different in the United Arab Emirates. Therefore, do not be surprised by the sight of Muslim women dressed in burqa - traditional clothing covering the whole body, except the eyes. Respect the foreign culture. And although tourists are not required to wear any special attire, not even to cover their hair, it is better not to over-exaggerate nudity. Put on your swimsuit only on the beach, and give up tempting shorts on the street. Otherwise, you may have to wait quite strongly to ask for cover. It is also worth noting that too intrusive looking at local residents is not taken well. Dubai is inhabited by representatives of many nationalities, which is why the clothing of most people whom you meet every day is no different from clothes from European chain stores.

Boredom
Dubai is a place that awakens mass imagination. It is particularly associated with two activities: sunbathing and shopping. It sounds a bit ... boring. However, nothing could be more wrong, because the city offers a number of attractions . There is a water safari, the possibility of practicing many sports, but also a chance to see the panorama of the area from the top of the highest skyscraper in the world - Burj Khalifa . The local marina is also extremely interesting and picturesque.
Multiculturality
Dubai is a multicultural place, which can be seen at every turn. Very many foreigners moved here because of lucrative positions. However, it cannot be said that this translates into the special expressiveness of this piece of Asia. Although most of the city is concreted and covered with skyscrapers, seasoned travelers will also find many places directly related to Arabic culture, such as the manufacture of traditional products.
Temperature
The climate that prevails in Dubai will certainly not suit everyone. Please note that this city was founded directly in the desert. For most of the year, temperatures fluctuate around 40 degrees Celsius. In winter, the thermometer bar usually indicates around 25 degrees. In addition, the air is dry. Dubaiians can deal effectively with too high temperatures, which is why public spaces are mostly air-conditioned.

Shopping
Dubai is the largest shopping center in the world: It is basically a city within a city. It may seem unbelievable, looking at the wealth of this region of Asia, that the prices of many items are lower than in Poland. Electronics and luxury goods, such as handbags from famous designers, are cheaper. The famous chanel can be bought for less than in the United States.
Criminality
The United Arab Emirates have a very low crime rate. Thefts almost never happen here. That is why many citizens do not even close the car or house door. You can certainly feel safe if you don't just break the standards. For example, those who don't allow themselves to be shown in public. Then the consequences, even for tourists, can be dangerous. It is better to give in to rigor than to risk it.
Visa
And basically its lack. Since 2014, Polish citizens are not required to have a visa when entering the United Arab Emirates. Add attractive flights to Dubai, and it is increasingly possible to travel to Dubai.

Finances
And not just for millionaires. This is not the most expensive place in the world. Entrance prices to some attractions or many activities are even lower than in Europe. That is why holidays in the United Arab Emirates are certainly at your fingertips.
