If you're just getting started with anime or looking for a few extra shows to fill your free time, you've come to the right place.
I don't consider myself an Otaku (a person obsessed with anime), but I do know a lot about anime and I've seen a lot of shows. Check out this list of some of my favorites. It's a mix of action, comedy, ecchi, and more.
#10 Devil May Cry
Most gamers don't even know that there's an anime series based on the popular video game Devil May Cry. The story of this series follows chronicles of Dante. Same as the game, the series is filled with stylish action scenes.
#9 Psycho Pass
Psycho Pass is like a police procedural drama, except this one is much more entertaining than the stuff you see on TV. The show takes place in a dystopian future. The show is action-packed and entertaining enough to get you hooked from the episode 1.
#8 Highschool Of The Dead
I'm not sure if there's any anime fan who hasn't seen this show yet. Highschool of the Dead is an old show, but if you haven't seen it yet you need to see it. It's all about a bunch of highschool kids surviving in a zombie apocalypse. And also with a mix of ecchi.
#7 Kill La Kill
Kill La Kill is another popular ecchi series that's really fun to watch. The series was limited to 24 episodes. Give the first episode a try and you won't be able to stop until you finish the entire series. It's available on Netflix as well.
#6 Blood-C
Blood-C is yet another entertaining series that revolves around a schoolgirl who's on a mission to protect her village from monsters. Each episode is packed with action.
#5 One Piece
No introduction needed for this series. It's now one of the highest grossed manga of all time with over $400 million in sales. The series is just as fun to watch. There are tons of episodes to keep you entertained for a long time.
#4 Tokyo Ghoul
One of my all-time favorites, Tokyo Ghoul tells an unusual story. A live action movie based on the show also came out in mid-2017. Watch the series before you watch that movie.
#3 One Punch Man
Some compare One Punch Man with Superman. Some say he's better than Superman. I'll let you watch the series and be the judge of that. I'll just say that the show is definitely a must-see, especially if you're a fan of superhero shows.
#2 Monster
This is a masterpiece of a show that I've loved every episode of it. The legendary director Guillermo del Toro was reportedly on track to create a live-action of the show but it wasn't accepted by HBO. There's no other anime out there that feature the visual or the powerful storytelling methods of this show.
#1 Death Note
The massive popularity of the show serves it justice. Death Note is a show that hooks in TV show fans and turns them into anime fans. You may have already seen it, but give it another watch.
