I stumbled upon this awesome zombie-action packed game from GluMobile while I was browsing through Google Play. After skimming through a lot of 5-star reviews from users, I was confident enough to install the game. As a big fan of zombies, the apocalypse and stuff, I couldn’t resist getting this game. Immediately after playing the game for a few minutes, I discovered that this game is one of a kind.

Zombies Ate My Friends is an online survival horror RPG game that comes with great 2D gameplay and a fun story. So, once I launched the game and connect my Google+ account for leader-board stats and bunch of other stuff, I jumped into the game and started the quest. First level is all about learning the game basics like smashing zombies with a tennis racket, scavenge streets for loot and helping other survivors by completing tasks. Things get much more fun and interesting as you advance through the game.

Gamesplay depends on saving up energy, because you need it to attack zombies. You have to hit some zombies several times (depending on the power of the weapon) to bring it down and in the mean time zombies will hit you back too. Leveling up in the game gave me awesome weapons like a shotgun and an axe. But, most fun part is that I get to choose my own path in the game, like choosing weather or not to kill your zombie infected friends or passing through bad-guys by paying cash or doing a mission.

Zombies Ate My Friends is not only fun but also effective as an app. Unlike other battery draining games like Temple Run 2 and Candy Crush, Zombies Ate My Friends uses a very little amount of power. I’ve once played the game for almost two hours and it only affected about 6% of power. I’ve been playing this game everyday and I’m loving it.

Only downsides to this game are that you have to stay connected to the Internet to launch the app and additional goodies are a bit expensive. But, that’s a small price to pay compared to all the fun in the game. I also found those striking buttons to be way too small, I had to be very careful when selecting actions because of the tiny size of those buttons. However, I have to mention that I played the game on a smartphone. GluMobile says it has perfect tablet gameplay. Either way those issues didn’t bother me much because I was already way deep in to the game story. This 44MB download was well worth it.

Zombies Ate My Friends is free on Google Play. Check out the gameplay video to see how awesome it is.
