Looks like having a gun, once again, is NOT essential to preventing a robbery, having a gun is NOT essential to overcome a bad guy committing a crime, or attempting to commit a crime. When we do not have ready access to lethal force, we rely on other options, options which exist.
If we want to move away from being a violent gun culture, then we have to eliminate the dependence on firearms as a solution to crisis situations.
