Xiaomi Mi3 storyofpen review

Xiaomi Mi3 smartphone has made an disrupt in Indian smartphone market after its exclusive launch on flipkart. Everyone is attracted with the kind of hardware specs you are getting on it at such a low cost. It comes customized UI which runs smoothly on top of android. One of the most important benefits about Mi3 is that there is a strong official community and forums which listen to user complaints and answer them.

In India, Xiaomi is offering its cloud services and lot of security options, SwiftKey’s great Android keyboard and the Facebook and Flipkart apps by default.

Design & Build Quality:

Xiaomi MI3 comes with quite good build quality and a great look. It has metal smooth finish at the back with rounded corner edges which makes it easy to hold. The matte finish rear side also provides a good grip as well.

Back cover of the device can’t be removed but it feels great like metal although its made up of better quality plastic. It has a good form factor as being a 5 inch smartphone its very lightweight at about 149 gm and thickness is 8.1 mm.

Operating System & User Interface(MIUI):

Xiaomi Mi3 has its own unique stylish custom UI called MIUI which runs on top of android and works great on the hardware of this device, Unfortunately it does crash sometimes while launching some 3rd party apps but it happens very less. As far as concern about gaming it didn’t disappoint us as it runs High end graphic games quite well without any  lag but heat up pretty quickly as well.

Hardware & Performance:

Xiaomi Mi3 comes with 5 Inch 1080p IPS LCD display which seems great in terms of color reproduction and all viewing angles are also good. In-built memory is around 16Gb out of which around only 13 GB is available to the user for usage purposes. Users can install apps/games and store pics, videos and other data on this storage.

The rear camera in Xiaomi Mi3 is of 13 MP  and capable of shooting HD video at 720p and 1080p at 30fps and can easily record slow motion videos as well. Rear camera photos were good in daylight and they looked quite decent in low light as well. Front camera at 2 MP is capable of clicking good selfie.
