Xbox One could run Windows 10 apps in 2015
Microsoft is aiming to make Windows 10 apps run across a wide range of products, including the Xbox One.
The company did not state the Xbox name outright in its Windows 10 announcement blog post, but it made very clear nods to the platform.
“Windows 10 will run across an incredibly broad set of devices, some of these devices have 4 inch screens – some have 80 inch screens – and some don’t have screens at all. Some of these devices you hold in your hand, others are ten feet away. Some of these devices you primarily use touch/pen, others mouse/keyboard, others controller/gesture,” the post reads.
Xbox One is set to get an update in 2015, allowing it to run what is referred to as “universal Windows apps” which are apps based on the Windows 10 kernel.
