If I am exactly who I really am – will people like me? Will customers buy from me?
Once at an event, I forgot the name of one of my best client – I stood there completely dumbfounded and embarrassed. This was my best client, a big source of my income, my reputation. My tongue refused to function and my mind struggled against the fog.
What did my client do? They laughed. Then they helped me and forgave me.
The most engaging and compelling people are real human beings that fail, learn and laugh as they encounter life.
They are also the ones who understand that all people have the same trials and tribulations as they do.
Reality TV isn’t real – so I believe most of us wouldn’t act like that – we would be kind, do what was right and help each other. Because in reality we aren’t competing with anyone except ourselves.
Be real today. Real is when you extend yourself to others without a strategy or ploy – it’s about showing up and caring enough to be really who you are.
It’s about fouling up and forgiving yourself and others.
Then people will like you and buy from you, because you’re exactly like them.
Remember you create your day by the way you think. Make it magnificent.
