Words Like Earth Takes You On a Trip with New Video For ‘Sojourn’ [Premiere]

Words Like Earth, the musical guise of Tanner Connolly, released his song “Sojourn” a couple years back, but the video is finally making its debut today. The video certainly speaks to the song’s title by taking the audience on what feels like a sort of sojourn. It begins by projecting short, but vivid clips of moving nature: clouds moving over mountains, water surging downstream, birds flying over rivers. These lively clips are then cut in and out by shots that show Connolly standing in front of a body of water while looking out towards something that seems to be far away. The introduction is illuminated with sounds of wildlife and movements synonymous with nature, like water flowing and wind rushing. These sounds are gently but surely replaced with Connolly’s equally as soothing vocals and tender guitar strumming. Shots of a fire and of Connolly driving are beautifully woven in and out of the nature clips — careful not to disrupt the tranquility of the video. Stream the video above, and let yourself be reminded of the beauty in nature.
