You are reading this now because it’s either you have this infection or you are just curious about Bacterial Vaginosis. I know I don’t usually write about this kind of topic and honestly, I don’t have that much of a knowledge about it either. Still, I thought that’s it is a good start since I want to expand the topics this blog is offering. Going back to the topic, here’s a short description of what Bacterial Vaginosis really is:
Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) is a common condition where the normal balance of bacteria in the vagina becomes disrupted. In most cases, BV does not cause any pain or itching. The most common symptom is an unusual vaginal discharge. A sufferer of bacterial vaginosis may present with vaginal discharge that:
    •         Has a strong fishy smell that is particularly strong after sexual intercourse.
    •         Is white or gray in color.
    •         Is thin and watery.

There are several ways to treat this condition, according to my research. You can either try the home remedies I found at Healthline or use medication as per what your gynecologist suggests. I don’t know about the availability of medication here in our country, but you can always buy Bacterial Vaginosis medication online – that is of course if it’s approved by your doctor first. Now, the most important thing to avoid this is to always make sure that your pH level is balance and that you take care of your diet as well. I also read that this condition can also occur in women who aren’t sexually active. In my opinion, it has something to do with (as I mentioned earlier) diet, hygiene, and hormones.
It may sound scary, but don’t panic, ladies, as it can easily be treated. And you’re not alone, it’s actually pretty common, especially if you’re in a childbearing age. Just remember to always consult your doctor should any of the mentioned symptoms applies to you.
