Winter Bird Adoration

By Refriedhippie @Refried_Hippie
The Carolina's are known for their fabulous array of bird species. A few weeks ago I put out a new bird feeder next to my front window. The results have been amazing. The winter birds are happy to have fresh seed a couple times a week. The deck and the yard have been covered in small breed birds. Morning times have been the most active with upwards of 20 or 30 birds coming in for a bird seed breakfast. I use black sunflower seeds for the larger birds, like cardinals. And small seeds attract finches and other small breeds. Here are a few pictures of our local fowl, the one's I have been seeing most often.
