Excuse me if this post is incoherent, but I'm so excited that I'm having trouble stringing sentences together. Guys, do you SEE the nautical flags above?! That come in their very own nautical bag?! Are you KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW!? It's so good. So, so good. If someone wants to get me a housewarming present for my apartment in September, this would be a good one. So would the map that comes a little later in this post. Or anything in this post.
All of this delightful swag above comes from Best Made Co., a store in NYC that my cousin just told me about because he bought "a really beautiful ruler" there. I was skeptical at first about the beauty potential of a ruler, but then I saw it. And it is truly beautiful (ruler and much more after the jump).

Voila. I'll take some photos to show you the cool designs you can make with it later (because there are many). But now, a bit about Best Made Co.
Peter Buchanan-Smith founded the company in 2009 because he needed a really good axe. And a really good axe, it turns out, is harder to find that you might think. So Best Made Co. was born, and a year later began branching out to make other goods besides axes, as well as selling wares from other companies.   Wilder Home Style: Best Made Co. It's a pretty good looking axe, right? I love the painted handle. And I love the aesthetic of the brand in general; everything they make is unfussy and beautifully designed with exquisite attention to detail. And a lot of it is funny, too, with clever slogans and graphics. If I were to start a store, I'd like to think it would be similar to this one. The company's motto is: "Courage, Compassion, Grace and Fortitude (C.C.G.F.). Our four most cherished virtues that we aspire to live up to — all of which are embodied by and emblazoned on our axes — and that we hope will inspire others." They also donate profits from the axe and one of their badges to the It Gets Better Project, an organization that works to help LGBT kids who are being bullied in school. Now that's a company I can get behind.
Here, some of my favorite things from their website:

Dying for this map. They have other locations, too, but since I've been to New Orleans most recently (of the options they have) and LOVED it, I chose this one.
