A little over a week after Wildcat! Wildcat! Released their first full length, No Moon at All, They performed to a packed house at Mercury Lounge. The band was supported by producer/soundbender Marley Carroll, whose moog-influenced performance was beautifully complemented by his pop vocals. The crowd mixed between head nodding and fits of dancing as the imperial electronic drop kicked. Those interested in the likes of the Field and Nicholas Jaar might find Carroll of interest.
In contrast, Wildcat! Wildcat! Took the stage and blasted out some sweet Sounds that made the crowd shake their hips. Donning similar black hats with various names written on them, it was easy to see that the band had become a cohesive group. The sound was on point and, after listening to the new album, there was no difference except in the quality of speakers the Mercury Lounge provides. The highlight of the show was Wildcat! Wildcat! having fun and watching that transcend to the crowd.
