Why I Want to Go to Bloggy Conference 2013!

By Balancingonhoney @balancinghoney

I am a former college athlete – forever fitness junkie, wife, information science graduate student, and social media enthusiast. I love Jesus, volunteering at Whispers of Hope Horse Farm, and pursuing personal growth. I have been blogging for a little over six months now and don’t plan on stopping, so that also makes me a rookie blogger!

More than who I am though, I love sharing my journey towards a purposeful life. I even like to think that my blog allows me to follow Lynette Lewis’ advice on “being a women of influence.”  It brings me joy to encourage people to be more than they ever thought they could be, or go after something they never thought they could achieve!

Before I started my blog, I thought I knew what it was all about. You eat something yummy and healthy then you post the recipe…. You do a kick booty workout, and then share it 30 minutes later… You have a sudden revelation after reading an inspirational book, and boom you share that too. Don’t get me wrong… I love reading about health tips, workout tricks, and awesome books, but being apart of a blogging community is SO much more than that. Social media is SO much more than that. Ultimately, it is an opportunity to add value to peoples lives, to make a difference, and to influence.

I want to go to Bloggy Conference 2013, because this conference offers insight into all around growth. Bloggy Conference, an extension of the Bloggy Moms Community, is all about community and gaining knowledge, and frankly I love that. It promotes growth personally, in building relationships, growth in your community, and growing in your passions. It is conference that exudes a culture of connecting with others and developing your best digital identity.

When I first started blogging, I had no idea that there were conferences available for bloggers. When I stumbled across Bloggy Conference 2013, I was blown away. An event designed just for bloggers who wanted to improve their digital presence = too good to be true. Because I am still so new to the bloggy world, I know that I have a lot to gain from attending Bloggy Conference 2013. I would also have a lot to share about my experiences at the conference with my readers!
