Why did my mom let my uncle rape me a rather confused mom asked me yesterday, could I add her experience to the blog in the hope that someone, anyone can give her the answers she so desperately needs.
Why Did My Mum Let My Uncle Rape Me?
My uncle raped me from the ages of 6-8. My mother knew, I told her yet she did nothing to help me, she did not report him to the police. Social Services became involved and they ushered her to report the sexual abuse, yet still she refused. My uncle then moved out of our family home some time later.
I worried as my uncle who had raped me had gone to live with his sister, she had kids too, was he going to rape them? My dad kicked him out of the house and that’s when he moved in to his sister’s home. My dad won’t talk to me now, he says he does not like me, and I don’t know why as he knows what his brother did to me and he’s still having tea & cake with him like he didn’t do it, that’s what makes me so hurt.
I have proof on paper he rape me from Social Services reports, I wanted to go to the police when I was 18 but my mom told me not to, if I did she would have nothing else to do with me.
He was living in Ireland and he had come over here to England so my dad offered his brother a place to stay. Each night when he came home he would come into my bedroom, raping me. I didn’t tell anyone but one day I told my cousin and she told her mom and it went around the family and that was when my mom and dad finally found out.
I remember I was in the kitchen making toast and my mom came in and said is it true? I said was true? She said you know what I am talking about. I say yes.
