I have a Master’s Degree in Linguistics, I sit on the Peer Review board of a linguistics academic journal, and I will also soon begin publishing linguistics articles in peer reviewed outlets. A 20-page article is forthcoming in a journal, to be published in both English and Turkish, and a much longer 111-page piece will be published as a book chapter as part of a book series to be published in the 1st Quarter 1995.
Linguistics is my gig.
Also when I am absolutely disgusted with the world around, politics, and maybe even the state of my own life, I often tend to fall back on the Linguistics because it always makes me happy no matter what part of life or the world is going to Hell in a hand basket.
