I have a few friends who read this blog and encourage me to write about things they come across. Here are two of those examples.
In one corner, we have Dress Pant Sweatpants. From Betabrand, these things cost a cool $97 bones if you pre-order them just in time for them to arrive late February. I’m not even sure what to say about these things. I just know this, I want them. I’m not sure you can even begin to get away with them in the work place, but I’d sure like to try. There are days I want no part of khakis or dress pants and these sweatpants could be a complete game changer. I’m talking nap city at work. Tough part about it is you’re probably confined to wearing these things to about 3-4 months during the year here in Baltimore. Once it warms up, it’s all over. Makes no sense to me why they will come online right around the time it warms up. Gotta know when to drop the hot fire. Marketing 101 really. You can even go pinstripes if you have the big executive meeting but you want to be comfortable.

In the other corner we’ve got Meggings. Don’t try to hurt yourself figuring this one out, it’s simply leggings for brahs. Via NYDailyNews: “Men have been wearing leggings for ages, and they are known to pop up on male runway models and rock stars. But will your average Joe forgo pants and put on tights instead? Adam Freck and Andrew Volk think so. In December, the Chicago-based duo launched Meggings Man Clothing, a company that specializes in leggings for men.” Well then, there you have it. Since male models and 80s rock stars rocked these joints, it’s about time I start rocking them, right? Ehh I don’t know, but I will say this; when I rock my Under Armour tight pants for beer league football I look slick. Look even slicker as I’m dominating but that’s for another post. I think these guys may have something here, especially with the ‘Merica joints.

So there you have it, the tale of the tape. Dress pant sweatpants vs. Meggings. For me it’s toss up since I want both. If I had to choose I’d probably go sweatpants because I wouldn’t want people getting all crazy about my bulge, just saying. Couple of tube socks could really accentuate those meggings.
P.S. I’m serious about this Macklemore thing. How’d they get him?
