Who says white ain’t right after Labor Day? Why I beg {no demand} to differ. Today I am a #fashion #rebel. I am wearing white booties in October! And I dare someone to stop me.
i dare you to stop me
I’m a strong believer that fashion is fearless. It should have no rules. No boundaries. No regrets. And, for me, the notion of no white after Labor Day is old-fashioned nonsense. Show me the person who was crowned fashion God that made this a style commandment? Or maybe it was a committee of people? Why wasn’t the color blue chosen? Or yellow? Yes. Exactly! I can go on for hours questioning why?
this is no cookie recipe
Fashion and style is not something we should pass down from generation to generation. It’s not like it’s a chocolate chip cookie recipe that needs step-by-step instructions. It’s just clothes and shoes! There’s no way a couple of people from back yonder should still dictate what we do today. They should only inspire fashion trends .
getting off the soapbox
Now that I am off my soapbox and standing next to it in my white cutout booties {shamelessly}, let’s get to the reason why I’m writing this post. Well, first off, I love you guys. Secondly, it’s because of these gorgeous white, faux snakeskin cutout booties I picked up recently. I’m wearing them with some acid washed jeans from JCPennys. I think are a great duo.
enjoying fashion for what it is
So I hope this post serves as inspiration to try some interesting and equally bold this weekend. Break the rules! And have fun doing it! Enjoy fashion for what it is – a form of expression…
