Who Needs Prozac with a View Like This?

I've said it before and I'll say it again...the view is the best part of the job.

I took these with my iPhone, so the quality isn't great, but the progression of shots mirrored my mood.  It was early.  My daughter's car gave out at 11pm the night before an early sign-in and I was the only one available for the rescue mission.  It was WAY TOO late by the time I finally settled in for the night.
This first shot was taken between cloud layers with the sun making a desperate attempt to poke through on the horizon.  Gloomy...just like my mood.

Moments later, as we climbed through the highest overcast layer, the bright sun and vibrant colors on the horizon were simply breathtaking.  I know...I'm sorry...I'm being dramatic, but oh my goodness!

With the sun shining brightly on my face, my spirits were almost immediately lifted.  I felt awake, alive and lucky to have a job with such a wonderful view.  If I ever have to find work outside of an airline cockpit...heaven help me...the view is the thing I will miss the most.
