The actress known for roles in “Whiplash” and “Glee” is set to play Kara Zore-El aka Supergirl in the CBS Supergirl series.
I will admit, when it was first announced that CBS had given the greenlight to a Supergirl series, I was extremely hesitant. However, given the fact that its being developed by Arrow and The Flash Executive Producer Greg Berlanti, I have held out hope that I could be proven wrong in my doubt. (Plus, the eventual possibility of having a crossover with one or both of the CW shows does intrigue me.) So while I don’t know Melissa Benoist’s work personally, from what I’ve read online, especially with her work on “Whiplash”, it seems that the powers-that-be, have made themselves a fine choice.
