San Antonio Garlic Grilled RibeyesMakes: 4 servings
Prep time:        15 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes
YOU’LL NEED
3-4Walmart Choice ribeye steaks, about 24-32 ounces total
Salt and pepper, to taste
20ounces Dr. Pepper®
3-4 garlic cloves, minced
4tablespoons butter, softened
3 tablespoons Bolner's Fiesta Brand® Uncle Chris’ Steak Seasoning
A.1.® steak sauce, for basting
INSTRUCTIONS

Season the steaks with salt and pepper on both sides, and place in a large zip-top bag or shallow dish.  Mix the Dr. Pepper with all but 1 teaspoon of the garlic, and pour the marinade over the steaks.  Seal the bag, removing as much air as possible, or cover the shallow dish.  Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1-2 hours, up to overnight.  Meanwhile, mix reserved garlic with the softened butter, and add a little bit of salt and pepper to taste.  Set aside.

When steak is done marinating, remove and pat dry, and rub both sides of each steak with the steak seasoning.

Prepare a charcoal grill for direct high heat (450-500 degrees F) using Kingsford® charcoal.  Brush the cooking grates clean.

Place steak on the grates, and grill with the lid closed as much as possible, turning once or twice and basting with A.1. several times, until cooked to your desired doneness, 6 to 8 minutes for medium rare.  Remove steaks from the grill and top each with a small dollop of the garlic butter.  Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
