Where Would You Propose on a Social Network?

By Lisa @Lisapatb
If sharing is caring in social, will you be social this Valentine's Day? You can see Valentine's Day hearts, quotes, candy and food all over on Pinterest. It's a Valentine's pinning frenzy!

Would you propose to your special someone or show your love on Valentine's Day for all to see? I read that a guy did propose this way on a  Facebook status update in 2010. They both were on mobile phones. It took her 40 minutes to respond. Did she have to think about it that long or did she not see the posting when he posted it? Another geek did the proposal via Qik (video sharing for all the family to see) and used Twitter and Foursquare to let his family and friends know when she arrived at the top of a hill.  It all sounds a little too impersonal to me.  I would want to see their eyes. And not have everyone's eyes on me for an answer.

I can't image having everyone watching your romance via the internet. If you had to choose via which social channel which would you choose?
  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • G+
  • Pinterest
  • Stumble Upon
  • My Space
  • Tumbler
  • Digg
  • Other

I think if I guy had to choose he should pick Pinterest. It's the more romantic site to put out a proposal on. He could pin pictures of flowers and sweet things all the way to the ring. If he proposed on Twitter it may be missed unless he tweeted it several times. A proposal done on Facebook would be known by everyone probably before you.

What would be your first choice for a social Valentine's Day Proposal?
