Finding a guy is one thing but keeping him around is another, then getting him to marry you is yet another. In the case of my friend Bola, she has found the guy, kept him around (for way too long) but getting him to marry her is now the problem. I mean, it’s quite understandable if you’ve been dating a guy for one or two years, even three without the issue of marriage cropping up but four years and above? Nah! Nah! Not acceptable. Bola has been dating her boyfriend for close to 10 years now, even before we became friends. It’s really quite baffling, why keep a girl for that long when you know you don’t have plans to marry her? Jerome Onipede of Vanguard Allure summed this up by saying
Date a guy for four years and become a moron; for five years and become an imbecile, for six years and become an invalid. For seven years? What do you think you have become without knowing it. Come on WAKE UP!Yes WAKE THE HELL UP! Even as men are difficult creatures to read and are quite challenging to figure out when they are ready to take that next big step, ladies are smart and know if a guy is serious about them or not. When a man wants to marry you, he knows it already even six months into the relationship, he makes this known to you and starts to work towards it. It doesn't have to take him a span of 4-10 years for him to realize you are the woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with.Anytime you bring up the issue of marriage, a marriage minded guy is always open to such discussions and speaks positive of it because he knows that he has passed the stage in life when all he wants in a relationship is just fun. He considers you as his soul mate rather than someone he is just dating.Women don’t have much time to waste because it gets to a stage when they begin to lose their beauty and charms that attract a lot of men, so ladies, if you bring up marriage talks with your boyfriend and he refuses to talk to you about it, be firm and determined to know why he doesn't feel comfortable talking about such discussions.
