What You Don't Expect When You're Expecting

By Thepracticalmommy2 @PracticalMommy2
Pregnancy is a funny thing. Sometimes it's the best thing that could have ever happened to you; sometimes it's the worst. Pregnancy sure does have its ups and downs!
I'm in my third pregnancy now, which up to this point has not been a picnic. It's weird: I love being pregnant, but I hate the evil symptoms of it. Go figure!
These are some of those fun symptoms you may not expect when you're expecting:
  • Volcano-like burning in your esophagus
  • Crying at a toy commercial
  • Peeing your pants when sneezing
  • Peeing your pants when coughing
  • Peeing your pants just because
  • Becoming nauseous at anything that smells, moves, or looks different
  • Craving anything just because the thought of food enters your mind
  • Pulling muscles in your abdomen you never knew you had
  • The innate desire to club your spouse or significant other over the head just because
Of course, it's not always that bad. Just most of the time...
The movie What to Expect When You're Expecting illustrates the very idea of having high expectations of pregnancy. Based on the book by Heidi Murkoff, it takes you through the lives of a group of couples who experience all of the aspects of pregnancy and birth. If you get the chance to watch it to see what I'm saying about pregnancy expectations, you should, and make sure that spouse or significant other of yours sits through it as well! (Read my review of the movie here!).
I'm halfway through my pregnancy. The end is in sight! Back to the heartburn...
