What We Can Learn From RGIII on R.S.V.P. Etiquette
I'm a Chicago girl and yes, I love the Bears. BUT, I've got a soft spot for the 2nd year quarterback for the Washington Redskins: Robert Griffin, III. Baylor standout. Heismann winner. A phenomenal athlete and just a special player. While he didn't have a great sophomore outing (he's still recovering from his second torn ACL), I still find myself pulling for him and hope he thrives under a new head coach next season.
Needless to say, I'm an even bigger fan of this guy after finding out he took the time to return an R.S.V.P. to a fan who invited him to his Spring nuptials. He declined, but he sent it back in FIVE days. Seriously? I typically tell my clients to give themselves a nice cushion between their guest's R.S.V.P. deadline and the date that they have to report their final count to their venue. Reason being, they will have to hunt down RSVP's by email or phone. Many guests just do not reply in a timely manner.
Perhaps because Robert is himself a newlywed, he was sensitive to how important these little cards are to the planning process!

He not only sent back the card in record time, he formally autographed it, sent his NFL card and wrote out "Happy for You!" Super thoughtful and classy!
Finally, as an added, indulgent, mid-week "pick me up", check out RG3 in his rookie season take the ball to the "house"... 76 yard touchdown run vs. the Vikings!

Enjoy the pic (and the run) and I'll be back on Friday...
