Opening Ceremony and Costume Contest at The Original Farmers Market
Metropolitan Fashion Week kicks off with the Opening Ceremony and Costume Contest where designers will showcase costume and fashion creations inspired by The Original Farmers Market and uniquely made of candy. The audience will have an opportunity to vote for their favorite design. The top three winners will have the opportunity to participate in the Closing Gala Fashion Show.

La Vie en Bleu, Signature Event benefiting Autism Speaksat Warner Bros. Studios
Metropolitan Fashion Week will produce La Vie en Blue, a Parisian-style benefit fashion gala to support the Southern California chapter of Autism Speaks on Thursday, September 29. Hosted at Warner Bros. Studios, this haute couture fashion and costume extravaganza promises to be a spectacular evening of philanthrophy, fundraising and autism awareness and will include a runway show, auction and live performances. Special honorees include Harry Topping Jr., Senior VP of City National Bank and Steven Grossman, Talent Manager and Producer for Untitled Entertainment.

Metropolitan Fashion Week''s final event, the Closing Gala and Fashion Awards, will take place Saturday, October 1 at Warner Bros. Studios, which will recognize outstanding contributions in costume design, celebrity styling and more. The Metropolitan Fashion Excellence Award categories include Costume Designer of the Year (Motion Pictures), Costume Designer of the Year (TV), Costume Designer of the Year (Live Performance), Celebrity Stylist of the Year, Fashion Program of the Year, Fashion Commentator of the Year, Fashion Blogger of the Year, Outstanding Ensemble for Make-Up Artist Artist and Hair Stylist and Lifetime Achievement Award.
In addition to the Awards, the evening will include exclusive performances from one of Las Vegas top shows and a one-of-a-kind fashion show featuring haute couture gowns and costumes.
Metropolitan Fashion Week will be hosted and produced by (the handsome) Eduardo Khawam, fashion expert, producer and TV personality for Telemundo and Univision.
