What would your dream garden have....a pond, a pergola, tree, shrubs, decking, a fire-pit or even a pool?Or perhaps all of the above :)I like the neatness of a structured & well planned garden but I also like the wild, meadow-y look of a garden that grows slightly untended.
Decking has become very popular in England, last year it seemed as though everyone was putting it in their gardens.
The garden that we inherited from my in-law when we moved into their house was largely a vegetable garden, it had no lawn but had greenhouse, 3 sheds & 6 fruit trees....they were great gardeners!
We have removed a couple of the fruit trees since the garden is too small to sustain 6 trees & we have put down a lawn.
Both of our neighbours have really interesting & well thought out gardens, they've created rooms & private spaces within their gardens which work really well.
We will probably leave any major plans for our garden until next year, in the meantime we are doing bits & pieces here & there and planning what we'd like to do....aren't there just so many options?!
If I was to have a garden makeover tomorrow though, I would add decking, this great bronze garden chimenea, plenty of garden lights & some floodlights to ensure plenty of light.
