From Wikepedia: On September 16, 2013, Aaron Alexis, a lone gunman armed initially with a shotgun, fatally shot twelve people and injured three others in a mass shooting at the headquarters of the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) inside the Washington Navy Yard in Southeast Washington, D.C. The attack began around 8:20 a.m. E.D.T. in Building 197. Alexis was killed by police around 9:20 a.m. E.D.T.
The Navy Yard massacre is the second-deadliest mass murder on a U.S. military base after the Fort Hood shooting in November 2009.
Aaron Alexis
Aaron Alexis, 34, was a petty officer 3rd class in the U.S. Navy when he was “honorably discharged” on January 31, 2011, which means he was rated good to excellent for his service. (Remember this!)
He then worked at “refreshing computer systems” in Japan for a military subcontractor, The Experts, for about 5 months. In July 2013, he resumed working for The Experts in the United States. At the time of his death, Alexis was studying online toward a bachelor’s degree in aeronautics.
By now, you all know from media reports that Alexis likely was mentally ill, although there is no record that he was diagnosed as such. Just a month and a half before the Navy Yard killings, Alexis had filed a police report in Rhode Island claiming to hear voices in his head, and that he was being harassed and stalked by people who were using invisible, electronic means and preventing him from sleeping. On August 23, he went to the VA hospital emergency room seeking assistance with his sleeping problem, and was prescribed Trazadone, an anti-depressant.
What you probably don’t know, if you rely on the mainstream media for information, are the following:
1. Aaron Alexis was an Obamabot Democrat
Michael Ritrovato, a good friend of Alexis who referred to Alexis as “like a brother,” told CNN’s “The Lead with Jake Tapper” that Alexis was “more of a liberal type,” a registered democrat who supported Barack Obama.
Ritrovato (who is white) said: “I would say things like, ‘You know, you are my brother from another mother.’ And he would say things like, ‘You’re my Italian mafia guy from New York.’ So we had things we joked about: Aaron wasn’t conservative like I am. He was more of a liberal type; he wasn’t happy with the former [Bush] administration. He was more happy with this [the Obama] administration — as far as presidential administrations.” (H/t Breitbart.com)
2. Contrary to his complaints about being a victim of racism, Alexis enjoyed “black skin privilege”
Accounts of Alexis are replete with him carrying a colossal chip on his shoulder, constantly complaining of being a victim of racial discrimination. But the truth is quite the opposite. Although Alexis left the Navy with an “honorable discharge” (which means he was rated good to excellent for his service), the Navy originally had intended for him to receive a “general discharge,” which is given to service members whose performance is satisfactory but is marked by a considerable departure in duty performance and conduct expected of military members. According to a Navy official, Alexis was cited on at least eight occasions for misconduct, including (Source: Wikepedia):
- In 2004, Alexis was arrested in Seattle, Washington, for malicious mischief, after shooting out the tires of another man’s vehicle in what he later described as the result of an anger-fueled “blackout.”
- In 2008 in DeKalb County, Georgia, Alexis was arrested for disorderly conduct.
- In 2010, he was arrested in Fort Worth for discharging a weapon within city limits.
None of Alexis’ arrests led to prosecution. More than that, despite his arrests and misconduct, the Navy still gave him an honorable discharge. Why is that? Answer: Alexis had “black skin privilege.”
3. Alexis might be a jihadist
On September 18 2013, NBC News posted a story bylined by Kyle Eppler, Pete Williams, and Erin McClam, titled “Navy Yard gunman’s mother says she is heartbroken and sorry for families.” The following appears in the 21st paragraph:
Law enforcement officials told NBC News that Alexis created a webpage with the name “Mohammed Salem,” but they said he never did anything with it. They said they had found nothing else that might indicate any interest in violent jihad or even in Islam.
DEBKA asks: “So how would they describe the deadly attack on the Navy facility – if not ‘violent jihad?’”
4. Bill Clinton is responsible for military bases being gun-free zones
Lastly, when news broke of shootings in a Navy Yard, I had the same reaction as I had about the Fort Hood massacre by another jihadist, Nidal Hasan:
Why were the victims unarmed ON A MILITARY BASE, helpless before their executioner?
The answer: Bill Clinton
According to a Washington Times editorial written days after the Nov. 5, 2009 attack on soldiers at Fort Hood, one of [then President Bill] Clinton’s “first acts upon taking office… was to disarm U.S. soldiers on military bases.” Clinton’s actions birthed Army regulations “forbidding military personnel from carrying their personal firearms and making it almost impossible for commanders to issue firearms to soldiers in the U.S. for personal protection.”
