What She Saw

By Jessicavenoy @lovelyjesscuh
Today I want you guys to meet an awesome girl with a huge heart :)
Say hi to Annie of What She Saw!
Hi, Lovely Little readers! I'm Annie and I'm stoked to be sharing a little of my heart at Jessica's today.
What She Saw
Jessica asked me a few questions to answer, which is one of my ideas of perfection. When I don't have clear direction, I tend to do a lot of rambling. Actually, I tend to do a lot of rambling, period. With that said, let the rambling commence:
1. What inspired your blog name?
I can't say specifically that something inspired my blog name: it just popped into my head. I loved it because I use my blog to share snippets of what I see: insights into the heart of God and how He's working in my life, and everyday beauty through photographs. Also, SAW are my initials, so I thought it was a clever little way to integrate my very identity into the name of the blog.

2. What is your favorite fall activity?
Watching football! I've only recently gotten into this sport, but when I did, I did it with a vengeance. I was raised on Michigan football so saying "go blue" and "hail to the victors" is about as rote to me as reciting my name, address, and Social Security number.
I would also like to note that in what can only be described as A Twist of Divine Humor, quite a few of my blog friends are Ohio State fans. This actually includes one of my longest and best blog friends, Meg.
3. Describe your perfect day.
Lazy! Haha. I can't say I have a blanket perfect day, so I'll describe one that was almost perfect: I went to my college town a few weeks ago to take care of some unfinished business from moving home a few months before that (although I ultimately ended up forgetting all about it and will have to go up again to do it later) and decided to see some friends while I was there. I had morning coffee with my friend P; a much-needed and too-short conversation about life with my friend A; and lunch with my sister (who is not biologically or legally my sister but approximately zero percent of that matters when Jesus decides to make you siblings). And then I drove back across the state to my brother's college town where I sat down to hang out with Margaret in the flesh. We ate dinner and went shopping. It was all simple things, I did, but it meant so much to me to be able to spend some time with my favorite people.
This day would have been perfect except for a few things: I drank so much coffee and water and Mountain Dew in such a short time that when it all hit my system I had to go the bathroom three times in approximately ten minutes, which is incredibly annoying, especially when you're about to make a two-hour drive. Also, I got home and promptly walked into a spider web. Which is not a big deal if you don't have arachnophobia. Except I do have arachnophobia. So yeah. That.

Me, L, Erin, & Chelsea in Chicago on our way to the Influence Conference

4. What is your favorite part about blogging?
The community. BY FAR. I have been so blessed and grown and challenged by this little slice of the internet, and I love it. In fact, I just got home from the Influence Conference a few days ago, and it was a weekend full of growth, love, and direction. I even bought my ticket for next year already! I am unspeakably grateful for what I have received ever since I began blogging just over five years ago.
5. If you had to eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?
It would probably be pasta because I have managed to eat this as happily as a clam for so many meals straight already. (A few questions: how happy are clams? And how should I interpret this idiom in light of the fact that I am allergic to shellfish? Hmm.) But I don't know if I could eat pasta for every meal because I do love me some pizza.
Oh, who am I kidding? If I had to eat one meal for the rest of my life it would be dessert.

Told you she was awesome, right?!
Y'all should definitely click over to her blog and say, "HI" from Lovely Little Things :) It would mean the world to me (and Annie, too)! You can also find her on Pinterest & Twitter!
