What I Wore: Candy Stripes
I bought this top back in May and have been wearing the heck out of it. Crisp cotton is so great in this heat because it sticks out away from the body. These sleeves capture the breeze and keep me cool. I've worn it with black ankle pants to work, denim and white twill shorts, with my faded jeans, and quite often with these white jeans. The mix of colors makes it so versatile (another perk - it's currently on sale!).

My summer makeup routine is becoming far and far simpler; just mascara, foundation, and lipstick (for this shoot I did put on a bit of blush). What's the point of doing a whole face to have it melt off (or I wipe it off when wiping off sweat)? I've "enhanced" my summer glow with Dr. Dennis Gross' Glow pads for my face and this in-shower color from Jergens for the rest of me. I am HORRIBLE at self-tanner and am famous for getting streaks even when I follow instructions to the letter. These two... not too shabby. The Jergens product is gradual enough that if I do end up with a dark spot on an ankle or a streak on my thigh it's gone after a day or so. If you buy it... less is more.

And can we talk about these EARRINGS? I was on a search on Etsy for something completely different but when I saw these I HAD to have them! They're clip on, from the '80s, in great condition and you shouldn't be surprised to see them regularly on the blog! This link is to the same seller who has a bunch of other fabulous earrings to choose from.

These are the same jeans I wore in this outfit post; they've proven to be a favorite in the wardrobe. I wore them on a flight home from California, they're that comfy and that good at not stretching out and bagging. They're also truly opaque which is such a rarity with white jeans!
