What Does Mom Really Want for Mother’s Day?

By Momatlast @momatlast

Looking for the perfect Mother’s Day gift? Here’s a look at some of the presents that mom wants most:

Cards – Whether they’re heartfelt or humorous, Mother’s Day cards are one of the most popular ways to say how much you care. Each year, more than 141 million cards are sent to moms all around the world.

Phone calls – Cards aren’t the only way to stay in touch with mom—plenty of people use the phone instead. Mother’s Day is, in fact, the highest call volume day of the year.

Video chats – One of the newest ways to show mom that you’re thinking of her is talking face-to-face via a video chat. One of the most popular video chatting services, Skype, has more than 31 million users. These services are easy to use even if mom isn’t technologically-talented.

Emails – More than 144.8 billion emails are sent every day, many of them containing Mother’s Day wishes or e-cards.

Flowers – A lot of moms enjoy getting surprised by a flower delivery—a full quarter of the total floral purchases made in any given year are for Mother’s Day. If you’re thinking about getting flowers for mom, some varieties she may like include roses, orchids, lilies, and irises.

Relaxation – Being a mom is a stressful job. When surveyed, 29% of mothers said that they would enjoy more time for themselves. You can make this happened by giving her something like a spa treatment or yoga lessons.
