Me and the boys partying before Homecoming at WVU. West Virginia : Thursday Night Air Show, WVU vs. Kansas St.
There will be an air show in Morgantown tonight as WVU and Kansas St. meet in a Big 12 showdown. The last time Kansas State rolled into Morgantown, it was a showdown between two Heisman contenders, Collin Klein and Geno Smith. It was quite the air show, but mostly on the Kansas St. side as they won 55 - 14. Tonight's matchup between WVU's Clint Trickett and Kansas St.'s Jake Waters will be much different. It will be a more evenly matched airshow that should be a nailbiter till the end. Although the Wildcats are ranked #12, Vegas favors unranked WVU by 2.
The Kansas St. Wildcats are a solid tough team that seldom makes mistakes. They are coming off a huge thumping by TCU. So the Wildcats will be looking to reestablish themselves and should be fired up for this game. The Mountaineers are coming off a bye week after consecutive losses to TCU and Texas. The Mountaineers look tired in Austin, which is understandable. WVU has one of the toughest schedules in college football, and had played 4 top 10 teams. The bye week should have done wonders for them both physically and mentally. Couple this with the understanding that a win over the Wildcats would ensure that this season will be deemed a success, and you have one fired up team.
Prediction: Clint Trickett's hair remains perfect as WVU beats Kansas St. 34-28. West Virginia : Thursday Night Air Show, WVU vs. Kansas St.
