Wedding Planners - 5 Easy Tips for Attracting More Brides with Your Facebook Page

With “engagement season” only a few weeks away, it’s time to take a look at your Facebook Page and make sure it’s set up to help you attract more brides and generate leads for your wedding planning business.

Here are 4 tips that will help you promote your business on your page:

1) Have a plan

Know the type of brides you want to attract and the type of impression you want to give them about you and your business. For example, your page should show them whether you are a luxury wedding planner who plans traditional weddings or one who works with off-beat and non-traditional brides.

2)  Set up a schedule

In order to get noticed, you need to post at least once a day, if not more. Monitor your Page Insights to see when your fans are online and post accordingly. If it’s difficult to post live, use a free app such as HootSuite or Buffer (I’m not affiliated with these services, they’re mentioned as suggestions) so you can schedule your posts ahead of time.

If you’re too new to find enough information in Insights to help you, do some testing. Set a schedule and check to see what works best, then make adjustments.

3) Post relevant information

You might see that inspiring quotes and cute photos and videos gather many “Likes” but unless they’re relevant to your business, they won’t help you get clients.

Post information that will appeal to the brides you want to attract and highlight your unique services.

If you’re running other businesses in addition to your wedding planning business, create separate Facebook pages for them. Brides will only stay interested in your page if you give them information that speaks to their interests and needs.

4) Interact with your fans

When brides leave comments, take the time to respond and encourage them to make further comments by asking them questions. This will give brides an opportunity to get you know you better and become interested in hiring you.
