Today’s song is from the 2007 romantic comedy, Music and Lyrics, starring Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore. I actually got my blog name from this movie but “and” was already taken. I eventually came up with “loves” because of the ending (sorry to those who haven’t seen it).
The song was written by bassist Adam Schlesinger, who has been a member of Fountains of Wayne, Ivy, and Tinted Windows. There are two recordings: a demo by Grant and Barrymore and a final version with Grant and Haley Bennett, who played “Cora” in the movie. Both versions are included on the soundtrack.
